Tagged out! I have NEVER filled both tags of my combo license before!
I had been holding out for a particular big boy I seen a couple times up until mid November. But as regular fire ended, and muzzleloar began things were more sporadic. Slow hunts were more frequent with a few busy ones. I had seen some smaller bucks, and one comparable.
I debated when I seen this one emerge but decide to go for it. And I’m excited to say I FINALLY harvested two bucks! Both were donated to Mi Hunters for Hunger!
My dad drove out to me in the bitter cold on the 13th. He was the one that found the deer as we had no blood trail. I’m grateful for his help! Shot with my 450 Buschmaster, this buck only ran about 60 yards.
