I got out in the woods at 3:30 in the afternoon thinking about how my sister wished me luck hunting . And I thought to myself man that was nice! So I’m sitting on my dads 11 acres of land and around 5 o’clock I looked out of the window and I saw a huge buck ( first buck I’ve seen on his property in the daylight) I pulled my CVA optima v2 muzzleloader up and put it right where I intended to hit and squeezed the trigger!!! My dad and brother immediately called me thinking I shot another doe! Little did they know I shot my first buck! I got down out of the blind and got inside to tell my brother who was already waiting for me. We went and checked out where I shot and there was only hair and tracks 😞. We followed those tracks for 100 yards before we found blood!!!! We tracked for another 100 yards and pushed it to the front of our property. We backed out for 3 hours before we went tracking again. We followed blood to where it looked like he went over the road. Then as we were walking back we noticed that there was blood coming back over a tree where he jumped previously, we tracked him for another 50 yards and found him piled up in a swamp that was wide open, he was 20 yards off the trail we followed him on!!! I am so blessed to have shot my first ever buck on my dads property!!! PS time pays off🦌🦌🦌🦌🦌
