I bought my home in April 2019 last year I spent all summer setting up the food plot where the previous homeowner had one. Being it was my first year doing a food plot I did throw and grow and I was excited for the season to come. I did not see a single deer any time I sat last year so needless to say I wasn’t the most enthusiastic going out this morning. What I did differently this year was I planted forage radishes and I had purchased a 22 foot ladder stand instead of a hub style blind on an elevated platform. This morning I told myself I was going to be shooting a doe today since I had seen one on camera three days straight at 8:30 in the morning. I got to the tree stand and set up at 6:30 AM I had my first action on the plot five minutes later when two does walked out. After they left about a half hour later I had another singled out who came in for about 45 minutes before being chased off by a young buck. Is it crept closer to 830 I had my eyes peeled looking in every opening on crack I could find in the woods for a doe to fill the freezer. I look towards my neighbors property where I have a mowed path through tall grass, that’s where I saw the young buck walking towards my house as I lean forward to get a better look at him I got glimpse of the buck you see here. I began to pray to God that he would walk on my food plot. When I open my eyes from prayer he was running directly in front of me he stopped turned around give me a perfect 25 yard quartering away shot. Double lunged him with a rage trypan and he went down about 80 yards back in the woods.
