Only seen this guy on cam in the middle of the night. Got a series of pics around noon of this studying to his bedding area. Decided since he was in there I would set the evening in the thicket he was bedded. After a few does filtered out of the thick stuff I could here something walking behind me, so I had all I could do not to turn around and look but the voice in my head said” at 62 you’re not a rookie , just be patient and wait”. After 20 minutes or so I see his nose poke out of the thick stuff 20 yards in front of me. He must have stood there 10 minutes then he took two steps out and gave me that perfect broadside shot. He went maybe 50 yards and stood there and started swaying and tried to catch his balance by jogging a couple smal circles and went down. Never moved. Love the rush of hunting large whitetail, may Deer hunting live on forever!!
