I have been farming deer foot plots on 20 acres of my Dad’s farm, and passing up smaller bucks for years. This was the first buck I harvested since 2013, as my Dad some of the neighbors have adopted QDM, only taking 8-point+ mature bucks (or does). This monster stepped out of a bedding area, of thick small pine trees, and into the field where my blind was, just after dawn. It was the easiest shot I have ever had to get a buck. About 35-40 yards away. Though I could tell it was a mature buck, I didn’t realize just how nice it was until I walked up to it. 10 points, & a 20″ spread (measured from the outside).
