So I shot a small doe when I was 15 and haven’t had the opportunity to harvest a deer since. I spent the next 20 years hunting private property up north. I am now 39 and have been hunting state land hard for the last few years. At times I was beyond frustrated seeing others pass on quality bucks while I wouldn’t even see 1. This year I missed an opportunity at a doe and was disappointed but then 5 minutes later this guy stepped out. He may not be a big monster buck but it felt damn good to finally put a notch on my belt.
