I flew in from New Hampshire as a guest of my son Josh Alberts from Lachene. The kid was a great host who built a wonderful stand in anticipation of my visit. Within the first hour 4 it 5 doe came into view. Tempting, but we consider a live doe to be the best form of buck bait ever invented. Soon the doe were at alert and Josh and I knew why. This buck soon appeared at 207 yards. We were pleasantly surprised to win 2nd place in the Buck Pole competition which paid for my out of state license and down payment on the taxidermist mount. See you next cut year. Thanks for the hospitality.
