Took advantage of the mentored youth program and took my son turkey hunting for his first time behind the gun. After practicing all week in the backyard with the 20 gauge, I felt confident he was able to go hunting. Our first morning out, we called in 3 toms and some hens. At 6 years old, my son harvested his first turkey, which was immediately followed by hugs and hi fives.
