First time out this season. Decided to hunt the evening and in a new stand I had sat up just before season started. Saw two young bucks sparing for a couple minutes and then a bigger buck came over and split them up. Watched a tall spike for several minutes out front of me and then a six point followed him out. I picked up my grunt call to see if I could get one closer and then this buck showed up to my left. I snort wheezed lightly and that got his attention quick and he started making my way. Got about 20 yards and froze quartering to me smelling the air. I let the bolt go and he ran about 50 yards.
