Hunting a spot we call the Pistol Tip 1.5 miles back on state land against a swamp and next to a big patch of oak trees. Forecasted to be 85 degrees on 10/2 so decided to hunt my best stand in the morning for the first time. About 720am buck came out from the swamp to my right. Was browsing on acorns and once it got into my 30 yard shooting lane I shot and dropped it. First mature buck on state land and couldn’t be happier.
