Nice 3.5 year old bodied deer taken, evening hunt of 12/3. This buck was not seen on camera before and I made the error of mistaking him for another big bodied 8pt. Lesson learned and I still got a great harvest with my Bear bow.
This buck was on high alert as I spooked the 9pt that he just fought off. Seconds later I decided to take a shot while he was at our manmade scrape post. My shot was back a bit but I managed to hit liver and lung. He plowed through the woods making all kinds of commotion, and then nothing. A nice blood trail led us 80-100 yards right to his body. The hard part was dragging him up hill through thick woods to a clear path. Thankful for my husbands help with that! This is my 2nd buck/deer in my 6th year hunting, both taken with my bow.
After passing up a ton of deer I am happy to have another harvest for my family.
