I wait until the rut to hunt this spot because it is right in the bedding area, and you can ruin it pretty easily with pressure. As soon as I got to the stand I had a deer blowing at me from 20 yards for what felt like a few minutes. As things calmed down the does started the party coming in from every direction. He enterd the dance floor at 30 yards. I made my shot and he took off crossing the property line. Not super familiar with the neighbors due to it being a permission property. I Was worried about gaining access to retrieve my deer. I knock on the neighbors door to ask for permission and he was super helpful and helped me drag the buck up to my truck with his four wheeler, god bless that man. This was my first Halloween buck and I am now tagged out before November it’s bittersweet but I think Jesus for my harvests.
