I was out hunting with my uncle but we weren’t expecting to see much because of the high winds. We had a couple does come in but nothing stayed long since the wind spooked them off. Around 5:30 this guy came in right after two does. I got my gun up to shoot and I heard a click but nothing happened, so my uncle took the gun and “fixed” it. I went to shoot at him again since he was broadside still and once again the gun clicked but nothing. Since third time is the charm he messed with it some more but when I put the gun back up the buck was in a position where I couldn’t shoot. We waited a few minutes hoping he would turn broadside before shooting light was done. Lucky he turned just enough where I was able to get a perfect shot on him. My first buck and definitely one I won’t forget thanks to my uncle!
