Had 2 fawns come into the food plot to eat. I was searching for mama in the woods. Saw some movement, but couldn’t tell what it was. Grabbed the binos and realized it was a big buck. He came straight through the woods towards the fawns and stopped for a second but did not give me a clean shot. He started chasing one of the fawns, running right in front of my blind and ended up stopping 35 yards away and broadside perfectly between 2 trees. He ran about 50 yards and crashed. This is my 3rd deer, 2nd buck and biggest buck to date. It’s the first deer I’ve harvested while hunting with my dad in 5 years. My dad has been hunting for 40 years and is the reason I became passionate about hunting.
