Tried out a new public land spot. Walked in about a mile and passed half a dozen blinds. I brushed in a ground blind near the edge of a thicket. 20 minutes before dark a doe and fawn came out of the thicket and kept looking back. So I got my bow up and waited. He came out 3-4 minutes later. Shot him at 35 yards, he ran about 60 yards and died.
