Took my daughter for the gun opener. At 8:00 my phone kept vibrating. As I reached in my pocket she smacked my hand saying stop Dad there’s a deer. I looked to my left and he was 5 yrds from our stand. He hit our scent trail and bolted about 40 yrds. Then did a 180 and came back on a trot. As I was about to try and stop him “BOOM” she sent one. Well unfortunately she missed and he bolted. He ran up hill about 90yrds then stopped and looked back. That’s when I dropped him. Great hunt with my hunting buddy.
