Monday night he came out into a bean field with 3 other bucks. They started feeding away from me and I grunted a few times to get his attention. He didn’t seem to care after the 3rd time, so when he looked away again I hit him with a snortwheeze and a grunt and he turned and trotted back where he came from. Not even a minute later he was standing in the adjacent field coming right at me. Came to 39 yards and I drew back and shot. I had put the worst shot on a whitetail I’ve ever made. Lighted nock buried through his stomach and somehow came out hit opposite rear leg which was pouring blood out as he turned and tried to trot away. After watching the GoPro video from above, my arrow got turned so the fletching hit the cable! Called a good friend Eric and his dog Picabo which is highly known around Michigan for tracking. He suggested since it was bleeding so hard, we would push him with the dog until he ran out of blood. The dog followed non stop blood for almost 300 yards and we found him in his 3rd bed. Fortunately for us and the deer, we didn’t have to push him and finished him quickly.
