I was watching some doe behind me for a few seconds and when I turned back around there he was out of no where at 85 yards away. I knew he was an older buck based on the body but couldn’t see enough rack to tell if he was a shooter with the backdrop. I glassed the rack with my scope only to instantly realize he was a shooter. From the moment I knew til the time I pulled the trigger was a matter of seconds. I didn’t even have time to have the adrenaline flowing before the shot. Double lunged him with a savage 212.
