The tall 8 came in about 4pm. Very aggressive stomping and snorting. Took a look at my deer blind and realized the mistake he made. I waited until he got about 50 yards away, before opening the blind window. One shot from the 270. Double lung, ran 100 yards and piled up, just at the edge of the field and woods. I didn’t want to disturb my hunting buddies, plus I could see him piled up in the field. About a half hour later, I see a few does move into the west field about 200 yards out. All of a sudden the wide 8 appear at the tree line looking at the does. He starts running toward the does about 150 yards out, the rest was history. Perfect shoulder shot, both lungs and clipped the heart. He ran 40 yards and piled up 5 yards into the north tree line.
