After a long un-eventful opener due to the high winds, I set back out Sunday afternoon. At 5:39pm, was scanning with binoculars, and saw this buck facing me around 80 yards, and I had to look through the V in a tree that was 30 yards away and about 25′ high to see him about 60 yards beyond it. All I could see was his chest, neck and head with his big rack! I quickly grabbed the 450, put the cross hairs on the center of his chest, and shot through the V in the tree and dropped him in his tracks. Best buck in 36 years of hunting! Thankful to God for the ability to get the job done! Also thankful to my beautiful wife for being supportive of my time in the woods!
