85 years old and got it done on opening morning. My granddaughter sent me a video of it, but she couldn’t get a good shot from her ladder stand and said it ran into some thick brush behind her. I told her to come grab me around 10am and as she was coming up the lane he came out of the woods in front of me about 78 yards and I was able to put a shot in him. He dropped in his tracks, but wasn’t quite dead. Fired off another shot and shot right in front of him, but luckily he was still on the ground. My granddaughter watched the whole thing unfold and even got a video of it and ended up firing the last shot at him to finalize my harvest. Little did we know my son also knew he was tucked away in that woods and was trying to push him out for us.
