Been hunting and praying for this buck for 4 years and learning his patterns. Friday night November 29th 2024 he came in following some does just as dusk was turning into alnost dark. The first thing I saw was his massive tall golden white rack and then I waited for him to turn and drop his head as I squeezed the triggee of my Remington 308. I bucked up and kicked, spun arounded and bolted off the way he came from. I waited a few minutes and checked for blood with mybl flashlight and couldnt find any after an hour searching. I came back at daylight and found 3 tiny dropplets light red. I must have hit him with a high lung shot…2 hours later after tracking him (with very little blood drops every 10 yards) trough thickets, tall grass and a crazy route heading toward a watering hole I finally found him 150 yards from where I shot him. As soon as I saw him I shouted up to the sky in heaven “Thank you Lord and Thank you Jesus!!“
Thats my story.
