This all started by promising my 7 year old son that I would take him out for an afternoon sit in our box blind. My goal of the day was to have a good time and have a few snacks and enjoy some nature. As I sat ,while I instructed my son to use the binoculars and scan the field and swamp areas. We had sat for 3 hours and just before dark, 5:25 pm my son tapped my shoulder and whispered “buck”. Needless to say, I took the shot and we couldn’t have been happier to see this buck. And the best part of this experience was the smile he gave me. Happy we harvested a good sized buck.
