Couldn’t hear anything in the morning with all the frost melting off the trees and a nice buck appeared out of nowhere. It started walking across my viewing area and got my gun up just to find out my scope was all fogged up. Tried wiping it quick and looked back up and he had disappeared without a sound. Thought my luck was gone since we don’t tend to see a lot of nice bucks where we hunt. Then all of a sudden heard something straight behind me in all the thick stuff. Turned around and this guy was walking towards me about 60 yards out. Got turned around the best I could and it turned broadside walking behind a bunch of thick brush and trees. Saw a small opening and stopped him in it at about 40 yards. And that’s all she wrote. He ran about 50 yards and fell.
