I was sitting over a harvested wheat field when I noticed does running in and out of the tree line. I had a doe tag i wanted to fill for the freezer and was frustrated the does were in the mice and wouldn’t stop. The idea of second rut didn’t come to me until I saw him nose down pushing two does out into the field, realizing he was chasing does in the area all morning. Luckily he stopped and gave me a 130 yard shot. Biggest buck harvested to date.
