I took my first buck tonight! Don’t ever believe that the deer aren’t moving when it’s windy cause this guy was. My husband and I went out this evening not expecting to see anything because it was so windy out, I wasn’t going to go at all and decided to last minute. So glad I did! After 2 hours of seeing no deer from my bale blind, this guy poked his head outta the bushes, he stared in my direction for 5 minutes then stepped out broadside to me, I calmed my breath and shot, and swore he just tipped over but thought there’s no way I’m that lucky. Well sure enough, shot him straight thru the neck at 70 yards, and he dropped where he stood never even took a step forward. My first ever shot at a deer, I’m pretty dang excited about him!!
