My daughter Julia was home from college for Thanksgiving break. She asked to sit in the apple orchard tower and asked her old man to sit with her. The wind and snow was brutal and slowed us getting to the blind. We were locked and loaded at 7:23am. Exactly 15 minutes later three bucks that none of us had seen all season came out. I grunted to get them to stop. They slowed just enough for us to count the points on the lead buck. Then the bucks started running again. Just before they were out of sight Julia shot. The buck kicked and we knew she hit it. It went in a big circle and died where it came out from.
