My cousin and I decided to go hunt the afternoon after work, we had three shooters that were on camera that morning knew they had to be bedded close. We both snuck into the stand around 3pm. At 4:56pm I looked up and our tall 8 was standing at 32 yards he closed the gap, I shot him at 16 yards he ran 40 and died in the field behind my stand. At 5:30 my cousin who was hunting the field edge 100 yards behind me asked if I got down and looked at my deer. I said no I didnt want to mess up his hunt . He said you won’t go check it out. I get down sneak to my deer put my hand on it , my cousin texts me STOP GET DOWN me confused reading my phone, then a text from him that says I just killed the big nine!! He ran 20 yards and died in the field 60 yards from where my deer was! Great day in the woods and glad I could double up with my cousin.
