Kadence went out for her FIRST TIME EVER hunting this morning for the youth hunt. She just turned 7 years old in August. She has been practicing with a 17HMR all summer. Today, she was using a Savage 243. After being busted downwind of some does earlier in the morning, she seen a group of bucks walk in… waited, took aim, and said, “Dad, I’m on a deer.” Dad told her to “shoot.” So she did! No hesitation. Clean shot. The buck ran about 30 yards, towards their stand, then crashed a bit behind them. She is so excited, and asked her momma (me) when she get’s to go hunting again! #trainingthemupright
