My first 8 point!!
Sat in my blind at 2:30 my fiance was sitting just south of me on the other end of the field. My dad was on his way to the property. Had a 4 point and a button buck behind me in the woods all night. Around 5 a doe and her littles got kicked into the field in front of me by this guy. Reluctant to come in the field, he made his way behind me in the woods, in his head “the safe way”. The button buck who was now 10 yards from my ladder gave him the confidence to step into my window. Broad side at 16 yards, double lung, ran 70 yards before expiring right behind the cabin. A perfect start to a long weekend of being in the woods!! After 4 years with no harvest & tracking and dragging both my fiance and dads 8 points this year, this one felt well deserved!
