It was the hubby’s turn to stay in that morning with our little one. I got up and made it to my blind 35 mins before light. I on a few spike horns and let a few does walk. Around 7:35 I heard something come in to the left of my blind and saw this guy. He didn’t give me an open shot, and then took off into some tall grass between where he was and the open cut soy bean field that I was sitting on the edge of. I knew he’d have to come back out one of those directions so I waited. A few minutes later he walked out into the open field and gave me an open window. He came in about 40 yards of me. I put the scope on him and shot. Watched him run about 100 yards and he crashed! I shot my deer, found it and made it back home to my sleeping family by 8:15 am! Our little girl got to be the first person to walk up on it with me!
