On Thursday Oct 4th I was on my way to a doctor’s appointment and called by brother who lives in the upper peninsula. We were discussing that neither of us had any real shooters on our trail cameras. Upon getting back from the doctor’s appointment, I retrieved the disk from my trail camera and saw this huge buck had been at my stand Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Excited !!! I called my wife and told her she had to be home by 4:00 p.m. to watch our daughter so I could hunt that evening. I hunted the stand that evening, but the buck did not show up. I very much wanted to hunt the stand in the morning, but I did not for fear of spooking him going to the stand. Friday evening I hunted the stand and at 6:50 he showed up. He stopped at 30 yards. I put the sight pin on him and made the shot. He ran into the woods about 60 yards and expired. Thankfully I had family members who aided me in the recovery of my best buck ever.
