First time out this season and what a great hunt it was. After several doe’s wandered down the lane way, it was a few minutes before 7, and I turned and only saw his rack. He was scraping and eating off a tree. He was about 30 yards out and he was moving closer to me. He got within 15 yards and at that point I had turned my chair to the other side of the shack and had to stand up to keep him in my cross hairs as he was so close. I seen the mass but couldn’t for sure make out the points. I had a great shot lined up and took it! First wall mounter for me, an exciting evening harvesting a great Michigan whitetail!
