Right at 6pm I hear some commotion to my right and saw a deer about 60 yards away. It’s a buck, it’s a good buck, it’s a shooter! I stood up, grabbed my bow, turned on my camera, and turned thinking he was going to walk behind me. Instead, he hooked it left and started walking out to the open field. I ranged real quick where I thought he would walk out – 50 yards. Far shot with a vertical bow, but I feel I have always had a good shot. 53 yards is where I’m guessing he steps out, I grunt, and send one through his heart, all on film.
