She’s been passing little bucks since last year waiting for something decent! 2nd sit this year and she got it done!
Couple does were directly under us when the 2 bucks came out, wasn’t sure she was gonna be able to even get her bow. The does finally walked off and we thought the bucks were gone too. One buck stayed out about 60 yards, the other worked right down the edge to 27 yards. She shot, hit a twig and missed.
They took off to 100-150 yards, just kept feeding. They disappeared behind trees and we thought they were gone, we were about to get down a few minutes early to look for the bolt, and as she was getting ready to lower her crossbow down this guy popped out from behind the trees at 50 yards, so she unhooked the crossbow, cranked it, loaded a bolt, and got ready. He stopped perfectly broadside and she smoked him, perfect heart shot at 50 yards, watched him go down in the beans! Patience paid off and I think I was shaking more than she was after she pulled the trigger! 😂
And yes it’s tagged just moved the tag so it didn’t get all bloody and lose it👍
