Lots of blood, sweat, and tears went into this buck. The season started off rough: a note left on my car while I was hunting, trespassers, haters telling me I’ll never harvest a big buck, hunting hard during bow season with no luck. I felt burnt out and knew I had to switch something up, so I went scouting for sign. Found a rub line and an active scrape, then set up a last minute ground blind. Sat during the morning and caught a glimpse of this guy 100 yards out at 10 am, but couldn’t get a shot. Decided to sit all day and it paid off. He worked his way back through at 1:40 and gave me a perfect shot at 60 yards. Very thankful and blessed! Never give up and don’t listen to those trying to bring you down!
