On 11/10 I went out sat in a tree where I have always went and got my bucks in the past. The winds were strong and I had the feeling of not being in the right spot. So i decided to make a move about 300 yards to the north for the last 45 minutes of light and it payed off. This buck bedded down on the edge of a field line 170 yards to the south of me. Which gave me a prime opportunity to stalk on my hands and knees the 140 yards needed to close the gap in the long grass he was backed up to. I was checking on his location every 10-20 yards only being able to see his antlers above the grass. I closed the distance to 30 yards and waited for him to stand up. When he stood up I put the 30 yard sight on him and the rest was history. Double lung and done 130 yards later. He is my biggest to date, and I hope the trend continues. 11 scoreable points and 17” spread. Gotta love sweet November. Michigan public land.
