It was a pretty slow morning. Got out to the stand 45 minutes to an hour before it got light out. Had only seen one other deer before a small buck had started to come down the trail about 60 yards away. I then looked about 15 yards behind him and immediately knew it was a buck I wanted to take a shot at. The small buck was just about at the base of my ladder when I had time to draw back as the shooter was 6 yards away behind some branches. Found a small gap between those branches to get a clean shot and BAM. Ran about 50 yards before I heard him crash
