Every year opening morning my dad takes my sister and I out. This year I had not had much time to practice with the new gun so we decided that if a nice buck came out that my sister Mylie would be the one to take the shot. She harvested a very nice 10 point opening morning and I was left a bit sad because I was the one that spotted it but was not able to take the shot. In the days to come I came down with COVID and had to quarantine at my moms house. It was not till the last day of the season I was able to get back out there with my dad. We went out that morning and as the fog lifted this buck came out of no where. The buck was about 20 yards out of our shack and working a scrape line. He had no idea we were there which was a good thing because I could not stop shaking. I took the shot and he ran about 100 yards away and then rounded the corner. We waited about 15 mins or so before we went to look for him. We found him about 10 feet from where we parked our truck to walk to the shack. This is my biggest buck to date and very happy both my sister and I were able to harvest great bucks this year!
