Got out of work early, wasn’t planning g on hunting. Passed a buddies house, I texted him. Next thing you know we both heading to the woods together. We got to the property together at 3:45pm, I looked at him and said “ it’s too warm out and it’s gunna rain, most likely gunna bed the deer tonight” hoping to see anything at that point. At 4:15 we saw are first deer enter the field, about 6 of them just barley where we could see them at the top of the hill. Rain picked up and scattered them off. The neighboring property I saw deer heading towards us at 4:30, soon to find out that they were does. They came into 40 yds and me and my buddy were very tempted to put a good size one down, but in the back of my head I knew there were going to be a buck to come out. 5:10 runs and we saw two does walk through the field we were watching. I got the binos up and to see where the does came from and I saw antlers, I gave the binos to my buddy and he saw the buck through brush and talked me down from the adrenaline that I was getting, while he was shaking too. I saw the hot doe the buck was chasing come out to the field first. I said,” there’s the doe he’s gunna come after her” there he comes with his nose to the ground and me with the crosshairs waiting for him. I let him get one foot into the field straight in front of us 65yds away and sent the good ole .450 eat. Pounded him in the chest, i looked up and he’s running right for us. I kept saying “I’d he down, is he down” just like Luke Bryan.. lol we gave him time to die and backed out and waited for my father to show up with back up. We found him piled up 30 yds from the stand. 11pt
