After a long season last year with little sightings and being quite discouraged she woke up at 5 A.M. to get ready to make a long trek deep into the core of our property for the first morning of the Michigan Youth hunt.

Upon getting settled in the action picked up immediately seeing a few does and fawns as well as 2smaller bucks at first light. She then spotted 2 deer coming right at us within 50 yrds and she started to get settled on her gun when the first of the 2 bucks busted us and disappeared back into the heavy cover the second popped out from behind a giant Beech tree at 25 yrds. As fast as he popped out he did a 180 running back to the west edge of the tree line on the due of the corn stopping at 115yrds.

She quickly found him in the scope and squeezed the trigger till the hammer fell. Within 20 yrds he tipped over in her sight line sealing the deal on her first ever whitetail.
