An unreal morning, to say the least. All I can do is thank the man up above. So much time and work and sweat and tears, all the frustration – has finally paid off.
I first started seeing this deer early in the summer, and have been following him ever since, making him the target and the one I wanted to cross paths with.
I rattled just after 7:40 this morning, and 20 minutes later, he poked his head out of the trees and came out just enough. My first archery deer, and my first buck also. Running only 40 yards after I got a clean shot on him. What an experience
