Got in there on the morning of the 8th to have a doe blow me out of the woods for a good half hour. Discouraged and sure nothing would come in I stayed through my doubts. Right as the sun began to creep through the tree line I seen a good bodied deer heading towards the corn field. He lifted his head and the silhouette of his headgear told me it was bigger than any buck I have ever taken. With a thought of him walking off into the corn a prayer was answered and he walked in at 28yds for a perfect broadside shot. I hit a touch high, he went about 130yds and piled up in some bedding. Shout out to “Easy Money” on the help of the recovery as I had just honestly overlooked him.
