Rattled him in shot him at 22 yards he dropped on the pile I went to shot again but couldn’t see him by the time I got to him he threw his head down and spit out blood so I backed off and let him die went and got help when we got back he was not laying where I left him he was bedded down under a tree about 15 20 yards away went to get a better shot angle on him and he jumped and ran so we backed out for about an hour came back looked for about a half hour ended up jumping him again came back later that night trailed him for about 150 yards lost blood where 3 trails meet up came back the next morning as soon as we could see found him at 10am he was still alive but barely I managed to get up with in 10 yards and shot him right through the heart and he still took another 10 15 minutes to do first shot was a kill shot he just wouldn’t give up my first public land deer and my first bow buck
