I was in my tree stand watching movement to far in front of me waiting for them to come closer hopefully one was a shooter ..kept hearing noises behind me on my right a little button buck then mostly squirrels I got tired of looking and seeing squirrels and wasn’t even gonna turn around when I seen this guy at 25 yards he walked behind a pine tree giving me enough time to grab my gun swing around to have my sling get caught on the rail caught it before it made a noise I said a prayer then he stepped past the pine tree enough to see his front shoulder pulled the trigger watched him try to run off on 3 legs a minute later hear him crash said another prayer txt my dad all I could type was omg his reply you shoot ? I said yes he got out of his stand and came over to me.. as I was getting down he was standing where I shot I said right there he put his hands up says I see no blood we looked no blood my heart sank I know I heard him crash .. dad and I followed his tracks Dad says you sure you heard him crash I said yes we continue to followed his tracks still no blood ….60 yards later ..Dad in front of me gives the thumbs up I thought he found blood he’s pointing to my buck ..there he lay! I ran up to him and dropped to my knees thanked the Lord and the buck many times and shed a few tears of joy..i couldn’t believe I just shot my biggest buck….he was bigger than we thought…or even seen in years …I hit both lungs and clipped the heart .. I never seen his whole rack untill I walked up to him ..just over 19 inch inside spread .. nothing better having my mom and dad be there for it all. I am blessed to have the most awesome parents. Thanks dad and mom I love you!
