This past opening weekend was one for the books. I had the incredible privilege of taking my youngest son, Luke, hunting for the very first time. The excitement was palpable as we settled into the stand on day one, and Luke didn’t disappoint. On his first shot ever, he harvested a beautiful 7-pointer. The perfect shot.
The next morning, we were back at it, and Luke filled his tag with an even bigger 8-pointer—this one we had to track down. In just two days, we ended up with 15 points, a total beyond anything we could have hoped for.
I’m beyond thankful for these unforgettable moments spent with my son, sharing the excitement, the lessons, and the memories that will last a lifetime. What an amazing couple of days in the woods!
