After much practice and anticipation Malachi and his dad sat for a second time in their stand. At 8:10 pm Malachi put one in the site of his 44 magnum at 75 yards; dropping it immediately!

Amidst their celebration and decent from the blind the buck got up and stammered off. Jacob sent off a text to the family and we all went looking for Malachi’s first deer! Malachi’s younger brother and sister were hot on the blood trail. The smallest blood trail being tracked. Mom, Grandma Loni, Uncle Brian and his retired hunting dog Remi joined in as well. A family affair! The deer was tracked down approximately 200 yards from where it initially dropped.

Excitement erupted! Malachi harvested his first ever deer and buck, a 4 pt, 120lb dressed.

It was truly a wonderful experience. We couldn’t be more proud of him!
