After a long season of hunting the same 40 I decided that I would try my luck at my uncle’s property. He has a 13 acre wood lot in the middle of a lot of ag fields. Usually we don’t see a lot of deer out there but thought what the heck. Shortly after getting out to the blind doe started piling into the field. Once legal shooting light hit, there were 3 doe that were running across the field at about 200 yards following a ditch bank. Shortly after, this beautiful buck came cruising. He gave me a perfect heart shot at 211 yards with my .450. He only went 50 yards and pulled up. My biggest buck to date.
