This big bruiser came thrashing at me through the corn straight in front of me. In order to have a nice 40 yard shot I needed him to cross the ditch and head west into the bean field. He had other plans and turned east. As he stood broadside to me inside the first row of corn I decided if I allowed him to head east I wouldn’t have a shot, so I decided to take the 50 yard shot. I had practiced this shot with my Parker crossbow and felt confident. I took my shot, watched as my Lumenok hit him. He jump and ran about 50 yards, turned south and died down in the ditch. So excited. Only my second take in 3 years of hunting.
