I got my first deer and it happened to be a buck! We had barely even settled in when he came out, chasing his does. I got myself positioned, waited for him to quarter just right, and knew exactly the shot I wanted to take.
I took a few deep breaths, adjusted my scope, and when everything lined up, I went for it.
What an incredible moment. Anyone who hunts knows how special a first buck is — and it’s something I’ll never forget.
